Guest Speaker: Kelly Wakefield, President of the St. Albans Garden Club  

 

Topic: "Creative Container Concepts" will focus on cultivating a wide range of plants in containers, including vegetables, perennials, vines, and hydroponic systems.
 

The Saint Albans Museum

The Saint Albans Museum, formerly the Church Street Academy, showcases the rich cultural heritage of Franklin County and Vermont. There are nine exhibit halls spread over two floors featuring artifacts from the railroad, women's suffrage era, agriculture, and the Civil War.

Taylor Park

Taylor Park, a peaceful four-acre space of tranquility, is home to the Central Promenade display gardens, a 700-foot Rain Garden featuring hardy Vermont shrubs and perennials, and the original 1880 fountain. Taylor Park is at the center of the vibrant St. Albans downtown, filled with coffee shops, local restaurants, and numerous vintage stores.

Following the meeting, you will have the choice of visiting the Saint Albans Museum exhibits at stamuseum.org or touring historic Taylor Park with curator Kelly Wakefield.
