Floral Designs – “Classic Meets Creative”

Sponsored by the Burlington Garden Club Inc

Date: April 28, 2026 ~ 1:00 pm

Location: Faith United Methodist Church, 899 Dorset Street, South Burlington, Vermont

My design methodology integrates traditional and innovative floral concepts. Participants will gain insight into conditioning techniques, sustainable mechanics, and the principles and elements of floral design. Please bring a notepad; the session promises to be engaging, and you will depart with substantial material for further reflection as you develop your own floral designs.

Judy Gray, a leading award-winning floral designer and former President of the Rhode Island Federated Garden Clubs, began her journey over 30 years ago after participating in a garden club flower show. Since then, she has fostered her passion for creative floral design, showcasing her work at events like the Boston Flower Show, RI State Flower Show, Newport and Tower Hill Flower Shows. Judy has also been invited to design at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts - Art in Bloom and regularly takes part in Flora in Winter at the Worcester Art Museum. She has studied with international designers including Hitomi Gilliam, Bruno Durate, Jenny Thomasson, and Marie Francoise Deprez. Her greatest achievement was presenting the "Merry and Green" holiday webinar on sustainable mechanics for the National Garden Club.
