Congratulations, Gavin Young, on winning this year's scholarship!

He was awarded the 2025 Federated Garden Clubs of Vermont (FGCV) $2000 scholarship award and a $4000 scholarship from the National Garden Club (NGC).

I'm honored to accept your 2025 scholarship and sincerely thank you for empowering me to continue my work in the gardening and conservation world.

I'm currently a sophomore studying Wildlife Biology at the University of Vermont.

At the crossroads of wildlife biology and horticulture, I find it imperative to create functional landscapes that are managed not only for aesthetics but also for habitat, even in the urban settings in which we live.
